David R. Hampton, PhD is an internationally active scientist and entrepreneur, creating innovative products for cardiac arrest, myocardial infarction, and stroke patients through global clinical research and business partnerships. Dr. Hampton developed the first commercial quantitative EEG and brainmapping systems for neurology and psychiatry, and later led European and US teams developing interpretive ECG systems and lifesaving “shock predictive” technologies for cardiac arrest. Most recently, Dr. Hampton completed an MPhil degree (with distinction) at the Institute for Biotechnology at the University of Cambridge (UK). His thesis work defines business models for creation of spin-out companies from corporate projects. He most recently led Medtronic’s development of subcutaneous monitoring and alerting systems in the Netherlands. He is currently creating a European startup company to develop innovative remote monitoring and diagnostic products. |
